The Role –

The duties will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Completing bookkeeping up to Trial Balance
  • Purchase Ledger – posting purchase invoices, processing and making payments, reconciling with supplier statements
  • Sales Ledger – creating sales invoices, credit control duties, responding to customer queries
  • Bank – posting all bank transactions, preparing bank reconciliations
  • Journals entries – prepayments, accruals, deferred / accrued income journals
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns with full reconciliation
  • Petty cash – managing the petty cash tin, reconciling and preparing journal
  • Assisting in preparation for annual audit
  • Preparing expenses breakdown and analysis of credit card statements
  • Assisting in monitoring activities of offshore office
  • Other office administrative duties

The Candidate Required –

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced Accounts Assistant.  They will also have the following –

  • Able to use initiative and work independently
  • Positive attitude to work
  • A can-do logical approach
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable but not essential. Must have worked on accounting software previously
  • Good knowledge of excel is important
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Any accountancy / finance courses will be an asset
